Mira walked back over to the grounds with Zei on her shoulder. “I would enjoy a dance or two,” she said with a grin after she saw A’thel wink. She hadn’t danced in a while but she was confident that she still remembered how to dance.

On the dance floor he beckoned Mira over, his firelizards and settled on the table, there were few people sitting at it, and even now they pointed at the pair and whispered. Ninni and Fyn were enjoying themselves, munching on all the leftovers. "Come along, Greenrider, little faster now." He laughed, making a mock impatient sigh. He meant to enjoy himself this eve.

“Of course,” Mira said with a grin and quickly strode over to him. Zei didn’t seem to want any part of dancing and flew up and landed on Chrisath who for the moment seemed she would tolerate being the flit’s perch. Mira looked at him with sparkling eyes as she eagerly waited for the dance to begin.

M'rak, happily led Xelin to the dance floor. The band was playing a slow song at the moment so he put his hands on her hips, his hands fitting nicly on them. He was not the best of dancers, though he hoped he could manage so he wouldn't embaress himself in front of Xelin, and he slowly started off the dance. "I hope you don't mind," M'rak said to Xelin quetly, "I am not the best of dancers, though I will try my best."
((Never done a dance post before so I don't really know how to rp one. tell me if I did anything wrong Dreamer.))

She wasn't shorter than M'rak by a head, so she couldn't lean her head on his shoulder, but she wished she could. Trouble, deciding that staying on her shoulder wasn't the safest thing to do, jumped off with a squack. Had Xelin been paying attention, she would have noticed he was heading for the food table, but as it was, she was much to caught up in being held by her hips(And she returned the favor, gently holding M'rak sides as well), swaying to the music.
"If you claim to be such an amuature, I won't dance with you during the quick dances- now should be fine though." Slow dancing was the easiest form of dance, as long as you weren't worried about touching the person you were dancing with. Xelin had no qualms- she actually liked the Weyrleader, and felt fine surrendering to his control.
For the length of the dance, at least.

"Ahhh," M'rak replied to her, "But I always would like a challenge. I'm the Weyrleadr, I must overcome challenges such as dancing." He smiled at her, moving with the song. She was following him for now, but he knew Xelin a little bit better that she wouldn't surrender for long though.

"Yes, but I must remain poised, and calm- a difficult thing to do with an enthusiastic, new dancer." Smiling to take the sting out of her words(It didn't do to insult people when you were the Weyrwoman), Xelin danced lightly. Perhaps one day, when both of them had more time, she would convince him to take dancing lessons with her.
"Everyone looks so happy- I'm glad we had this feast. Even so, I have to say, I was surprised at why you had it. I was so sure that you were going to announce graduation."

Graduation! He had forgot about that. He was planning on it to happen in the next month, but it had slipped his mind to annouce it during the feast. He had planned it, but it did not happen. It was good to have a Weyrwoman such as Xelin, and she dance wonderfully. After graduation, she would have to teach him. Maybe after Khymith rose he could.........
Forgot again did you, Redith mocked M'rak, You seem to be doing that a lot lately.
He ignored his dragon's comment, trying to concentrate on dancing. "Yes," he told her, "Graduation. I had planned on annoucing it, but it managed to slip my mind. The night is still young though, isn't it? Would you like to help me annouce it after this dance, or would you like to annouce it tommorrow, or sometime this week?"
